A little hard to break in. Timberland roll top boots hurt me at the ankle on the outside but I'm bowlegged so I figure that accounted for the discomfort. I stuck with them and after a few days, they were broke in and fit real well. Maybe a little foam padding on the outside of the uppers would solve the problem.
